Two friends. One gap to close.
"Nobody taught us this stuff. So we taught ourselves — and then we built the box we wish someone had handed us at 18."
We're Colton Burkhalter and Alex Degonge — two friends who turned 18 and realized school had taught us everything except what to do with our first paycheck. We could solve for x. We couldn't open a brokerage account.
So we taught ourselves the hard way: late nights, a hundred open tabs, and plenty of mistakes one honest guide could have prevented. Somewhere in that mess we made a decision — the next person shouldn't have to learn it like this.
Anchorage Box is that decision, made real. Plain-English education, a real nudge to get started, and a mission to put this knowledge in the hands of kids who'd never get it otherwise. That's the whole story. We're just getting started.
